The South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SSCAA) has confirmed that 14 people, including the pilot and two Kenyan nationals, perished in the aircraft accident that occurred in the Luri area of Central Equatoria State.

According to initial reports, the aircraft encountered poor visibility while approaching the area, leading to the tragic incident. No official confirmation has yet been issued by authorities regarding the crash or the number of casualties.

Sources say the Caravan aircraft may have hit a mountain before catching fire, resulting in the loss of all passengers and crew on board. Rescue and investigation efforts are expected to begin as officials work to establish the exact cause of the crash and verify the details surrounding the accident.
