Vice President for the Economic Cluster, Dr. James Wani Igga, has departed Yei River County for Juba following a visit during which he laid the foundation stone for the proposed University of Yei and addressed residents on the importance of unity as South Sudan prepares for elections.
Governor of Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony, Yei River County Commissioner Hon. Samuel Henry Malimbo, members of the security organs and other senior officials accompanied the Vice President to the airport as he concluded his visit to Yei.
During his visit, Dr. Wani Igga called on the people of Yei to remain united and work together as the country moves towards the electoral period. His visit also highlighted the importance of education and development in strengthening communities and supporting long-term resilience.
