Christopher Okello Onyum has pleaded not guilty in the death penalty case of four children who were murdered on April 2, 2026, in the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Programme School in Kampala, Uganda. He was allowed to remain seated while attending a public hearing at the Ggaba Community Church via the televised courtroom in the Ggaba area of Kampala, Uganda.

Currently, no new developments have occurred with respect to this matter. The court has been advised that they will reconvene shortly to continue with proceedings; however, there was also additional information provided to support this information.

The public’s interest in the case continues to be high given the level of secure law enforcement and attendances from victims’ families and community members.
