Electricity rationing in Juba will start on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM, according to the Juba Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (JEDCO). The action is a result of the Iran-US conflict’s disruption of the world’s energy supply. According to JEDCO, load shedding is required to safeguard vital services and preserve the stability of the country’s electrical system.

Hospitals, security services, and other vital facilities will continue to operate while the power outages are distributed according to a rotating timetable. During outages, customers are recommended to disconnect sensitive devices. JEDCO has promised the public that it is striving to minimize disruptions and keep citizens informed, and it will shortly produce a comprehensive “Power Allocation Schedule” through its official channels.
