๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐-๐๐๐ In a significant move to bolster public safety, the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity [R-GONU] Minister of Interior, Hon. Aleu Ayieny Alieu, conducted his first official visit to Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony at the Central Equatoria State Secretariat.
The high-level meeting focused on strategizing robust security mechanisms to address pressing concerns within the state, with a particular emphasis on Juba City. Key issues identified for immediate attention included the activities of criminal gang groups locally known as “niggas”, the persistent threat of “Toronto” motorcycle snatchers, drug abuses, and the widespread menace of land grabbing among other land-related conflicts. The meeting also reviewed the performances of all security sectors within Juba, and overall safety of the citizens.
Both leaders reaffirmed their mutual commitment to tackling insecurity and upholding law and order to ensure a safer environment for all citizens. They urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities, while pledging continued coordinated efforts to restore law and order.
The meeting was also attended by deputy Minister of Interior, Inspector General of Police, Mayor of Juba City Council, Commissioner of Juba County, and other senior security chiefs.
