Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony launched new dustbins distribution in Juba , marking a reinforced commitment to the “Keep Juba Clean and Green” campaign which focuses on waste management and collection within Jebel Market and Gongworoki Residential area to transform public health and waste management in Juba , South Sudan.

During the event, the Governor commissioned the new dustbins specifically designated for hotspots within the Jebel Market, shops and business hubs aimed at providing well dumping of waste services.
Governor Adil emphasized that these bins are essential tools in the fight against preventable diseases such as cholera and malaria as rainy season commences.
The Govenor further directed Quarter Councils to prioritize cleanliness in residential areas, urging tough law enforcement against those who dump wastes along streets. In addressing over taxation as decried by traders, Governor Adil also announced that all official rate collectors will be distinguished by their official uniforms for easy identification and to eliminate the presence of illegal tax collectors who harass local traders.
