The international football federation ( FIFA ) has revealed the official team size for national squads. Each country will have a limit of 26 players on their final lineup for the tournament, which is set to occur next summer across
the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
After increasing squad sizes to 26 players during recent major tournaments primarily due to health
protocols and a packed schedule FIFA has opted to maintain this structure.

This decision provides coaches with enhanced flexibility, particularly in terms of handling injuries, player recovery, and strategic changes.
With the allowance of 26 players, coaching teams now enjoy greater options to cope with the demands of what is expected to be an especially challenging competition, especially since the 2026 tournament will include a larger pool of national teams
