East African biggest artist Joshua Baraka lost London based music award known as MOBO Awards to the African legendary artist Wizkid.
Baraka Showed pure humanity after the event. He lost to Wizkid in the Best African Music Act category. Singer Wizkid songs never topped charts in 2025/26 and he won the Award.
These raised a lot of speculations and doubts on how the Starboy won the Award. Despite the loss, Baraka was praised for his humility and recognized for his growth in the industry.
The loss came amidst a heavily contested category at the London-based awards.
