Re opening of the embassy in Kenya marked the end of humiliating closure due to rent.
The closure, of the embassy lasted just 6 days and it exposed the fragility of South Sudan’s international footprint amid chronic economic woes.
In a statement released Wednesday, the embassy extended apologies for the “inconvenience caused by this brief interruption” and assured the public that consular services, visa processing, and diplomatic engagements would proceed without further delays. Staff members, who had been operating from temporary locations, returned to the Milimani-based facility this morning, greeted by relieved clients queuing for assistance.
