“Carlos Tévez was the worst player in training,” Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra recalled. However, what they saw on the pitch, when it mattered the most, left them stunned.
“He didn’t even do his laces. He didn’t care. He’s like a dad, he was sleepy sometimes… You know, for some players, there’s the say that “you play 100% the way you train”. But for those kind of players, like Tévez, you don’t need them to train,” Evra stated.
“But Tévez, you know, at home he was always training on his own, running treadmill… Some people don’t like to train with the team and I don’t understand that, but at home they are doing the rest. Trust me, when the game was on, he was running for everyone on the pitch. He was a pitbull”
